Project Be the Light, led by Boone County Hospital and BCH Foundation, is dedicated to supporting Boone County residents facing cancer-related financial hardships. This year, we invite you to participate in our Glow Pickleball Tournament, a charity event where all proceeds will directly benefit this important cause.

Event Details:

Dates: Two-day Tournament: September 19 - 20Location: Memorial Park Pickleball Courts (click to view map)Time: Exact schedule will be posted once registration numbers are finalized. Play will start at 9:00 am and finish by 9:00 pm daily.Format: 64 teams of two (one male, one female), single elimination, best two out of three matches.Skill Level: 2.5-4.02.5 Skill Rating: A novice can keep up in a rally with players of equal skill levels but may have trouble scoring points consistently.3.0 Skill Rating: Understands the fundamentals of pickleball and the rules.3.5 Skill Rating: Can grasp the game and apply strategies effectively.4.0 Skill Rating: An exceptional pickleball player with a good understanding of the game and strategies.

Awards:

Medals (design TBA) will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in recognition of their outstanding performance. These teams will not only take home medals but also the pride of supporting such an important cause.

 

Giveaway:

All participants will receive a Project Be the Light visor (design TBA) as part of their registration fee. We will also have a limited number of additional visors available for purchase at $20 each. All proceeds from visor sales will go directly to support Project Be the Light.

 

What to Bring:

Please bring your own lawn chairs, as there is no seating available at the venue. We will provide tents for shade to help keep participants comfortable. Water and snacks will be available throughout the event, but please note that no meals will be provided, so plan accordingly.

 

Important Notice:

Please be aware that by registering for this event, you agree to play on either or both dates to ensure your team’s flexibility in the tournament schedule. If your preferred date is unavailable and you are unwilling to play on the alternative date, your team may be considered forfeited, and your registration fee will be non-refundable. To maintain the tournament's integrity, teams unable to accommodate both dates may forfeit their spot to another team on the waitlist. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
